A Bit About Me

Empathy, Passion and Excellence guaranteed. My mental health services have become well renowned throughout the Mornington Peninsula since 2000.
I’ve been working in the health sector with the skills and professionalism my clients have come to expect & deserve. 
I always stand behind my work, with customer satisfaction being my #1 priority along with empowerment. I have been expanding from mental health counselling and collaborating all my studies to incorporate the NDIA & adding two side businesses due to Covid. 
My Side Businesses are 'Therapy For The Senses' my soy candle range & 'Covid Kits- Therapeutic Activity Tubs. 
I started my journey 20 years ago studying my certificate 4 in Disability Studies and went on to study the Bachelor Of Applied Science Disability Studies, not being able to stop myself I went on to first-year nursing however after near completion of year one I swapped to Counselling and a major in Abnormal psychology. 
Looking forward, my dream was to be able to hose, I couldn't cover them under the NDIS so my services were available for all. That let me on the journey to study my Masters In Social Work. I have covered all theory and only have my 500 hours of placement to go. Once that has finished I will work as a Social Worker and start the credentials to be a Mental Health Social Worker and be able to Bulk Bill in two years.
As For Therapy For The Senses - 
'Therapy For The Senses' was designed by myself during the 2020 Covid Lockdown period. Being a healthcare worker specialising in mental health I needed to find a release and self-care activity that included an expressive create outlet. 
I was flipping my main Business Peninsula Counselling And Care every week with the new restrictions and trying to keep everyone safe in a pandemic was an experience that's for sure. 
I listened to podcasts daily as escapism and found myself being drawn to self and business development. I started studying eleven years ago and had a great year planned with many launches however Covid had other ideas and instead of sinking the business I pivoted and used my escapism as inspiration and before I knew it 'Therapy For The Senses' was born and I spent every spare second researching, ordering from around the world and educating myself on how to bring the best and diverse range for every occasion and taste.
I was so inspired I am in the process of releasing my own podcast focusing on mental health and self-care and have designed therapeutic activity tubs as it was something that kept all the children I work with entertained in our new normal lockdown world.
 Every soy candle is made with the best resources and made with dedication and love.
Each Candle and scent has been hand-picked by myself and ranges from glass, marble, ceramic, aluminium, some have hand made jewels and are perfumed essential oils over 50 to choose from, a proprietary soy wax blend, and a lead-free cotton wick which ensures a clean burn. 
All candles come with a personalized note, warning label and box. Speciality boxes are in the design process now.
There is a special 'named' line of candles of individuals that reached out to me and had a major role in my life during 'Covid' times and there is a speciality line coming out that will be 'one-offs' hand-painted by my favourite artist Jo. All Candles sit for two weeks to cure to make sure you get the best scent throw and I am open for any requests just please allow time for the unique process to give you the best results.  

I will try my best to get candles out as quickly as possible but please keep in mind that some shipping is delayed with covid.
